Vioxxclass action

Introduction

Do you qualify for this class action? Find out now.

In October of 1999, Merck Frosst Canada Ltd. and its subsidiaries released Vioxx in the Canadian market. It was described as a new class of drugs called COX-2 inhibitors that could reduce all kinds of pain, especially arthritis, without causing serious gastrointestinal discomfort and bleeding - a risk seen in older drugs like aspirin, Aleve and Advil.

On September 30, 2004 Merck Frosst Canada Ltd. announced the withdrawal of Vioxx. This is the largest worldwide prescription pharmaceutical recall in history. Results from a clinical trial demonstrated that patients who took Vioxx had a higher risk of cardiovascular disease including heart attacks, congestive heart failure, strokes, palpations and death.

Certain internal documents from Merck Frosst Canada Ltd. indicate that Merck Frosst Canada Ltd. was aware that Vioxx doubled the risk of heart attacks and strokes in some patients.

If you or someone you know close to you has taken Vioxx and have experienced cardiovascular disease, heart attacks, strokes or death please complete the “Do you Qualify Form” or “Contact Us” by email. The initial consultation is free and if we accept your case, payment will be on a contingency basis. If we don’t win, you pay no legal fees. We will do our best to ensure you receive full compensation for your injuries. You have our guarantee.

I found the Klein Lyons website extremely helpful and informative, especially the FAQs. I am grateful and appreciative to have someone in my corner. Receiving the claim package yesterday gave me the mental strength to carry on. You have no idea how good it felt to know that my claim had been accepted.
